Postcards from Missouri

Julianna reading to pass the time on the airplane ride.

The girls were so excited to see the playhouse Grandpa and Uncle Seth built!
Amazing, isn't it!

You will notice a water-theme.  It was hot ya'll.

Sprinklers are soooooo fun when dad comes in!

My favorite photo!

Oh wait.  No, no.  It's this one.  : )

Don't wake a sleeping tiger.

Coloring cookbooks with Great Grandma.
Never done it?  It's amazingly relaxing.  I'm being serious.

Here is Isaiah speeding down the slippin slide!  Cousin Lane was there too.  I just couldn't get a photo of him because they were all so blurry.  I nicknamed him "bullet train."  He seemed to like it and it sure fit.  : )

Maddie and Lainey!

Ava and Isaiah!

Maddie and Julsie!

Horray for pool, popsicles, and Grandma and Grandpa's house!

Happy to be together!

Home grown.  100% pure beef.
"Now that's great America."
(That's a reference to American Idol, just in case you missed that season)

Get some Uncle Seth.

New Beginnings

6

4

During the past few weeks both girls have started their school years.  They were so excited and nervous and giddy.  They both breathed a huge sigh of relief after each open house.  They saw old friends and old teachers.  I am so thankful they both love to learn.  I can't wait to see what this school year brings us!  I don't know if you can tell by the pics but I've got me some tall girls!  Shocking, I know.

Lemonade Stand

Freshly squeezed lemons + sugar simple syrup + water = summertime

Waving down customers.  We had to work on "don't scowl or yell "oh man" or sulk when people drive by and don't buy lemonade (even if you know them)."

The girls worked really hard making lemonade, finding the perfect spot in the neighborhood, and learning food service etiquette.  In the end, they hauled in 20 bucks a piece.  They shared a portion of their earnings with Compassion International and squirrelled away the rest in hopes of someday buying American Girl Dolls.  : )
