Ava has been taking gymnastics every week this school year. She really looks forward to this morning each week. It's a special time just for mommy and her. It is fun to watch through the large window into the gym as she flips, balances, and suspends herself in the air. This little girl has a lot of God given grace. It is fun to see her in an activity that brings out this gift even more. : ) She takes the class with some of our best friends. So, it's fun for the girls and the moms! : )

Time with Friends
Allison's surprise birthday lunch!
In the bustle of everyday life it can be hard to carve out time to spend with friends. I am so grateful this wonderful group of ladies had a chance to come together and celebrate Allison's birthday a few months ago. It was such a great time of fellowship and food. When you move as much as I have, it can be hard to develop those deeper friendships. I feel so blessed the Lord has given me meaningful friendships in each of the places I've lived. So, to my friends those pictured and those not...thanks for the time we spend together laughing, depending upon, counselling, affirming, venting, doing favors for, praying with, and sharing secrets and dreams even in our thirties! I thank God for you and I cherish each moment.
Our Student of the Month
Jules and her kindergarten teacher. You always remember your kindergarten teacher. : ) Plus, she is just down right fabulous and we couldn't be happier with her! Jules thinks so, too. : )
I am very late in posting this and am not sure how it slipped through the cracks. Back at the beginning of the year Jules was given the student of the month award for her class. This is extra special because of what is required to be the very first student of the month. This little girl loves the whole learning process. It was doubly special because one of her best buddies got the award, too, from her class. Chad and I went to the morning reception where we applauded many wonderful children for their excellent school work, initiative, and curiosity. We are so happy with Jules' achievements in and out of the classroom and had to take a moment to humbly acknowledge how proud we are of her. : )

I don't have a picture of her but my friend Melody came and did the most WONDERFUL face painting ever! The kids adored her work. She is a very talented make-up artist and doesn't usually face paint. We were so lucky to have her! Thanks Mel!
Homemade yumminess!
I must say, there is something very satisfying about making your daughter's birthday cake. The girls get so much enjoyment from picking out the design and colors. Then, we make it together. They are apart of the whole process: batter beating, cake baking, icing, stacking the layers, and the final frosting.

Ben works on Jake's request. Ben and our family go to the same church and he has the rare talent of balloon twisting. Let me tell you. he is good. The kids were amazed at his creations. Ben has a terrific way with the kids and we all enjoyed his talent at the party.
