Tough Mudder

On Saturday, I got up at 5:30 am, humped a heavy backpack around a motorcross track, got a sun burn, and ate a mystery bbq sandwich.  Chad, on the other hand, ran the Tough Mudder.

Not muddy yet, just frozen.

A small view of the hilly course.

Twinkle Toes.  That was actually the name of this obstacle.

Firewalk.

15 feet into icy water.

Let's top it off with some electroshock therapy.

Four hours later.

Most people who run this race just want to curl up in a little ball and cry themselves to sleep.

My husband, however, has a hard time passing up a Marine Corps pull-up bar challenge.  He punched out 15 full pull-ups.  Can I get an Oooo-rah?  The Marine recruiter asked him if he wanted more information on joining.  ; )

The end.  : )

Jackie and Justin drove in yesterday to watch sunshine play some b-ball and spend a little time with the fam.  We had so much fun talking, laughing, watching tv, trading shoulder rubs, eating tacos, and playing a rousing game of "chase the children with the wheel barrow."  Thanks for coming you two!  : )
