This afternoon, when Chad picked Julianna and Ava up from school, the teacher pulled him aside as Julianna was gathering her things.
"I just wanted to share something with you." she said. "Your daughter loves the Lord. Julianna asked me today if I knew about Jesus and the Jesus story. That Jesus died for my sins. That he rose again and one day we will live in heaven with him. And that Jesus loves me."
Chad, swelling with both pride and humility, held back surfacing tears. He thanked the teacher for telling him and told Julianna how proud he was of her. Then they said their good-byes and headed home.
Surely Julianna will do and see and be and experience many things in life. She has already shown an aptitude for learning and has a fantastic memory. She amazes us daily with her thoughts and musings. Yet all of this pales in comparison to her simply knowing, simply trusting, and simply sharing the very real, the very true, and the very eternal message of God's Love. Nothing she will ever do or say could make me more proud than this. : )

Chatting at the Sky
Below is a link to a blog I like to read. At the bottom of the blog page is a poem. It is so sweet and simple to me. I wanted to share it. It reads:
Tuesday, after a reckless and used day,
I was running and running without a chance to stop and chat at the sky
And finally, I stopped for a breath in the evening.
And suddenly I was caught by the scenery...
painting a picture of you.

A day poems are written about...
Oh Glorious Day!
We took the family to the trail by the river yesterday. It was a gorgeous 75 degree day. A perfect day for water bottles, crackers and raspberries, bikes and bike trailers, and smoothies when we were done. I loved every minute of it.

Rainy Weekend
Our girls come from a long line of fort builders on both sides of the family.

Watching the rain run down the path in the backyard.
Trying to find the illusive perfect dining table.
Could this be it? Hmmm.
